After the success of their first digital conference in October 2021, ALLPLAN held their second virtual event for engineering professionals last May. Entitled Build the Future – ALLPLAN Infrastructure Digital Conference, this event focused on solutions and international examples of bridge and road construction in practice.
On May 4th, 2022, eleven specialist presentations took place. Led by both globally successful engineering firms and Allplan product experts, the content focused on best practices and practical workflows for everyday design activities. Working efficiently is the core concept of ALLPLAN’s design-to-build strategy. Therefore, through this event, ALLPLAN hoped to enable their customers to optimize their infrastructure projects from the design stage through to construction.
In addition, attendees were also be treated to an insight into current integrated digital infrastructure solutions, as well as how these solutions would evolve in the future. By bringing together infrastructure project stakeholders, they would have the opportunity to network, learn about upcoming trends, and prepare for a successful future.
The conference began with presentations about road and bridge projects from around the world. For example, the Grand Paris Express – the largest infrastructure project in Europe – was presented, as will Portugal’s metro network, a railway bridge in Brazil, a road construction project in Switzerland, and many innovative bridge construction projects from China, North America, Croatia, Germany, and Romania.
The engineers described the best practices they had developed, and their experiences with Allplan infrastructure design solutions for roads and bridges. As well as showcasing the potential the current solutions offer, product experts also provided their most useful techniques, tips, and tricks for modeling bridges, terrain, and roads.
In addition to the presentations, our experts hosted chat rooms where a wide range of different infrastructure topics could be discussed. Whether you would like to learn more about a particular project presentation, or ask about road, terrain, and bridge modeling, bridge analysis, reinforcement detailing, BIM, or interoperability, there would be an expert on hand to discuss and answer any questions.
The event was completely free of charge and was held in English across the morning and afternoon. Visit Allplan event page to learn more and register.
